Holiday Sheep Walk @ HICKORIES in Ridgefield

Our friends at the Hickories will host a Holiday Sheep Walk in the Main Barn of the farm.

Just as the fields settle into the quiet of another New England winter, the farmers at The Hickories are gearing up to ring in the magic of the season with a Holiday Sheep Walk on Sunday, December 7th.  From 4pm-7pm.

Visitors will help the farmers shepherd the flock across the field to the shelter of their winter barn.   The festivities will also feature live wool spinning demonstration by local spinners and felters to give visitors of all ages a chance to participate in and learn how the wool from this fleecy flock can be used to keep us warm through the cold winter months.

Hot cider will be provided as well as the chance to browse our newly expanded Farm Store.  The event ends at 7pm and is free for all.  Located at 136 Lounsbury Road, parking is available on site behind the barn.  Please check the website for more information in case of possible inclement weather cancellation.
